Happy Father's Day!

Well look at that! It is the day during which we celebrate the Y chromosome for it's contribution to society. Sound strange? Alright, agreed, we can just say, Father's Day! So what will you be doing to celebrate with the pops? Me, I am treating my dad to a round at the driving range. This should be interesting!

If you're rolling in cash, try indulging your dad in this luxury clad present:

(Note the dial is not the stereotypical black or white or silver or gold, but a classy brown check. Just a thought.)
Burberry - Stainless Steel Watch - $525.00

For those looking for something more affordable, try the ever classic tie:

(This one also comes with a scarf, a tie, and what appears to be... headphones?)
Boston Traveler - Microfiber X-Long Tie Gift Set - $13.99

Today Was the Day...

Today was the day that I was getting the shoes I ordered from Forever21! I've been waiting painstakingly all week, thinking about it constantly, checking the UPS tracking website thousands of times (which I find so cool, btw!).

I had work so I didn't get home till 5, but I knew it would be waiting for me!

But of course, I hurt my foot at work. It's being iced and elevated as we speak. I've been reduced to walking on my hands and knees. Which is kind of reminiscent of my childhood when I would walk on all fours pretending I was a dog. Now it just doesn't seem to be as fun. And of course, I'm not going to be able to try them on for a while...

But alas, that's enough complaining out of me! I might just show you them as is, considering I can't find it online anymore.

First off, the pretty packaging:

Then come the shoes: And a snazzier picture of the logo:

And even though my right foot is out of commission, my left one is still up and kicking!

I'm not going to give a rating or review until I can put both pairs on and walk around. However, the one on my left foot is pretty comfortable. For now I'll give it a thumbs up, and get back to you on the rest. And, I'll get back to watching the most recent episode of Happy Town online. Gotta love the internet!

New Additions, Bittersweet Departure

So this is what I've realized over the past three days of my trip.

- You can't suddenly have an amazing wardrobe. Those are the things that you gradually build up over time. Buy great staples, find an amazing statement piece here, find an unexpected treasure there.

- Do not be afraid to do what, in your mind, is the most important thing to do, even if it seems absolutely juvenile at the time (I'm still kicking myself for not going over to Bryant Park while I was in the area this weekend... sighh)

- A Sephora open until 12am is a beautiful thing (pun intended!)

- I am no longer allowed to spend money on anything other than gas for my car. ...For at least two months.

- I still am completely in love with NYC, until next time my friend! (Next goal: Fashion's Night Out)

And so, without further ado, I present to you, my latest additions to a hopefully growing fantastical wardrobe:

T by Alexander Wang Spring 2010 via Opening Ceremony

Tags still on = ) It's doing this weird thing where there's a purplish tint, but be not mistaken, where ever you see purple, think more of a black color.
Top: Anzevino and Florence via Opening Ceremony
Tank: H&M

Topshop! (Tank and mini skirt) - I have this thing where I buy tops too large. I might or might not end up altering it.

And that would be it! Five pieces, three shops, one day!
Have a lovely rest of the day!

C you in a little bit!

New York New York! The Big Apple!!
I'm going to the City That Never Sleeps Friday and I can't wait! I have this whole plan worked out for what stores I'm going to hit, all in one day. Possible, maybe not. But that's what's gonna make it so fun! Maybe hopefully I can buy a camera before I go. If not, I'll have to kidnap my mom's old digital...
